Production Supervisor

What are we looking for?
Responsible for leading the safety and performance of a 30 to 40 production crew in the manufacturing and finishing of PVC and PET sheet. The process includes:
Calendering, Printing, Embossing and Laminating, and Coating. The schedule is on a continuous 24 hour operation staffed with three 8 hour rotating shifts. Depending on demand, the operation varies between 5 and 7 days.
Your tasks and responsibilities
Operations Shift Leader and Coach to shift employees.
Plan and supervise all production shift activities to meet or exceed targets.
Ensure compliance with all operating, safety & environmental procedures.
Schedule equipment and human resources; schedule overtime as needed.
Fulfill customer orders and special customer requests.
Ensure product quality is within specification, and make adjustments as necessary.
Advise Production Management, peers and shift personnel of events, problems and issues.
Review, Edit and approve hourly employee timecards utilizing the Kronos System.
Assist production department with training on new procedures and processes.
Troubleshoot and problem solve production process issues:
work closely with maintenance, process engineering and quality.
Ensure compliance with plant and corporate policies.
All other duties as assigned.
Who you are
A minimum of 3 years experience in a Manufacturing Environment
High school diploma or equivalent
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated Leadership Skills
Computer skills in Excel and Word
Must be capable of working in a high paced work environment
Process Safety Management Knowledge
Problem solving and facilitation skills
Associate and/or Bachelor level college degree or equivalent experience preferred
Six Sigma Greenbelt Certification preferred
Previous Supervisory Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
